Ingredients
- ½ cup honey
- 2 to 3 tablespoons turmeric powder
- ½ to 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- Optional: 1 to 2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger
Instructions
Add the honey to a clean glass jar.
Stir in the turmeric until the mixture is evenly combined.
Add the black
pepper and ginger, if using.
Mix thoroughly, cover the jar, and store it according to the storage requirements of the ingredients you used.
If fresh ginger or other fresh ingredients are added, refrigeration is the safer choice.
How Much Should You Take?
There is no scientifically established requirement to consume exactly two tablespoons.
In fact, two tablespoons may be more than necessary, particularly because honey contributes substantial sugar.
A smaller amount, such as 1 to 2 teaspoons, may be more practical for many people.
You can stir it into warm
water, milk, tea, oatmeal, yogurt, or another food.
There is also no evidence that taking it on an empty stomach makes it significantly more effective.
