“My supposed consent surrendering the reversion clause.”
Rebecca took it.
She examined the bottom.
Grace’s signature appeared there.
Perfect at first glance.
Except Grace had never signed it.
“I was in Denver on that date,” Grace said.
Ethan’s voice came out flat.
“You sign documents electronically all the time.”
“Not with blue fountain pen.”
She held his eyes.
“My passport puts me in Denver.”
“That proves nothing.”
“My obstetrician’s office has me on camera at 2:14 that afternoon.”
“You could have signed earlier.”
“The document’s metadata says it was created at 4:52.”
Ethan’s face tightened.
Grace continued.
“From an IP address registered to Calloway Maritime headquarters.”
The room was completely silent now.
Rebecca placed the page down.
“Ethan, do not say anything else.”
He looked at her.
She repeated herself.
“As counsel to the company, I am advising you not to say anything else.”
Something dark moved through Ethan’s expression.
