I looked toward the stairs.
“Marcus, do you have copies of the messages?”
“Yes.
I saved everything.”
“Can you send them to our lawyer?”
“I can.”
He hesitated.
“There’s something else.”
“What?”
“Daniel told Kayla that he knew your husband.”
My entire body went still.
“What did you say?”
“Not personally, he claimed.
He said Andrew had once worked with someone connected to his business.”
Andrew stood.
I put the phone on speaker.
“Marcus,” he said, “did Daniel mention my employer?”
“No.
But Kayla told me Daniel had information that could ruin your marriage.
She thought he meant compromising photographs or messages.”
Andrew’s expression hardened.
“Did she tell you anything else?”
