Martin’s face reddened.

“You authorized them.”

“For vendor acquisitions.”

“There were no acquisitions.”

“Then accounting categorized them wrong.”

Grace leaned back.

“Interesting.”

Ethan snapped toward her.

“What?”

“Because that was exactly what you told me three weeks ago.”

His eyes sharpened.

“You went through company accounts?”

“I reviewed statements from an entity that partially belongs to my trust.”

Grace let the silence sit for a moment.

Then she said, “You should probably stop saying that tonight.”
