“After she moved into my house?”
Nothing.
“After she had your baby?”
He looked away.
I nodded.
“That’s what I thought.”
Ryan sat down.
“Addison, listen to me.”
“No.”
He looked up.
“You owe me five minutes.”
“I owe you nothing.”
“We were married for eleven years.”
“Exactly.”
I stood.
“Eleven years.”
His eyes softened.
“I loved you.”
I laughed.
“No.”
“I did.”
“You loved what I provided.”
He flinched.
“The house.”
“The money.”
“The connections.”
“The company.”
He shook his head.
“You’re being unfair.”
I placed the documents on the desk.
“Then explain these.”
His face changed.
He looked at the papers.
“What are those?”
“Your transfers.”
He didn’t speak.
“Four years.”
Silence.
“Hundreds of thousands every month.”
He swallowed.
“That’s company business.”
“No.”
I pushed another document toward him.
“It’s Norah’s business.”
His eyes widened.
“Where did you get this?”
“Does it matter?”
